2013 Shriners Ride Raises More Than $14,000 for Children’s Hospital

High Lifter Products and Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar teamed up for the sixth consecutive year to host a benefit mud ride for the Shriners Hospital for Children. Attendees rode their off-road vehicles to help raise more than $14,000 and toys for the children's hospital.

High Lifter Products and Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar teamed up for the sixth consecutive year to host a benefit mud ride for the Shriners Hospital for Children at High Lifter Off-Road Park in Shreveport on Dec. 7, 2013. Attendees braved freezing temperatures to ride their off-road vehicles in the mud and to help raise more than $14,000 and toys for the children’s hospital.

Funds for Shriners Hospital for Children were raised through park admission, concessions, pancake breakfast, and a raffle for prizes including a 2014 Polaris Ranger 570, a Warn Winch, Moonshinexxx Light Bar, and a year’s worth of coupons for Applebee’s valued at $7,300.

“This truly is my favorite event we put on each year,” said Scott Smith, owner of High Lifter Products. “It’s a busy time of the year where we can stop, have fun and put others first. The hospital has changed so many lives for the better, including my son’s, and hosting an event like this is the least we could do. The event’s continued success is a direct result of the support from our awesome sponsors, including Polaris, Warn, Moonshinexxx, and Applebee’s. We are eager to continue to see this event grow and can’t wait to see what next year brings!”

High Lifter and Applebee’s have already begun planning for the 2014 Shriners Ride scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 6, 2014.
