Avid motorcyclist John Viscomi was so surprised that he won a customized Triumph Rocket III Touring motorcycle with more than $2,000 in custom audio equipment that he did his own due diligence with Triumph to confirm it wasn't a hoax.

Now, all of John’s reservations are in his rearview mirror as he took delivery of this special Triumph from Carl Peshoff of Northern Ohio Triumph in Akron, Ohio.

“I still can’t believe that I won a new Triumph,” said Viscomi of Brook Park, Ohio. “The day I found out, I celebrated with my daughter over ice cream. Now we get to ride the bike to the ice cream parlor and get some more!”

Viscomi’s new Triumph features a satellite radio with a SiriusXM SkyDock that can be run from an iPhone or iTouch. If the iPhone is used, Viscomi has access to Internet radio, music library, GPS navigation and any other apps he wishes to use.

There’s a Kenwood XR-4S digital 4-channel amplifier (2 channels for the front speakers and 2 channels for rear speakers) with about 600W in this configuration. Four Kenwood 6-1/2” eXcelon speakers are housed in the custom front Hoppe Industries fairing and a Kenwood 10-inch eXcelon subwoofer is in a leather-upholstered, custom-fabricated enclosure where the luggage rack would normally be.

There’s also an Escort QI45 radar detection system and an Escort CIS GPS Tracking System that allows Viscomi to track his motorcycle via computer, which is great for reviewing his ride histories.

The full audio system was designed and built by Al & Ed’s Autosound in Northridge, Calif. Al & Ed’s is more than 50 years old and has performed more than 2 million installations. The bike has toured the country, being featured at the Los Angeles Auto Show, at the International Motorcycle Shows and in enthusiast magazines. Thousands signed up for the chance to win it.

“We’re very happy to welcome John to the Triumph family, and we know he’s going to have a great time putting miles on his new bike and sharing stories with the many other Triumph owners,” said Peshoff.

The Triumph Rocket III Touring motorcycle combines cruiser styling with the performance of the largest production motorcycle engine in the world. The bike produces 105 bhp and 150 ft.lbs. of torque for effortless cruising.
