Wallbox to Be Exclusive EV Charging Partner of Polaris in U.S., Canada

As part of the partnership, Polaris will sell Wallbox’s Pulsar Plus 40 Amp to its off-road EV customers.

Wallbox N.V. (NYSE: WBX), a leading provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging and energy management solutions worldwide, and Polaris Inc. (NYSE:PII) announced an exclusive partnership in the U.S.

Polaris is expected to launch Wallbox’s smart chargers to Polaris’s dealer network across the U.S. and Canada in late spring. The news follows Polaris’ recent launch of its 2022 RANGER XP Kinetic electric UTV, which is expected to be in market in summer 2022.

Polaris is expected to sell the 40 Amp version of Wallbox’s best-selling charger worldwide, Pulsar Plus. The smart EV charger, which has been adapted to meet the growing needs of the North American market, became a bestseller on Amazon in only three months. Pulsar Plus is the smallest home charger on the market and is compatible with all EVs. Pulsar Plus 40 Amp can be particularly suitable for off-road vehicles, as its NEMA plug allows for more flexibility for farm and rural charging locations.

“We are excited to launch this new partnership with Polaris and help bring the transition to electric to off-road vehicles, a completely new market segment,” said Douglas Alfaro, general manager for Wallbox North America. “Our Pulsar Plus can make the transition possible for outdoor enthusiasts looking for an electric off-road adventure, with the ability to charge at home and avoid the inconvenience of taking their off-road vehicle to a public charging station.”

“This partnership is intended to enable us to provide our customers with an easy and efficient way to charge their electric vehicle, in turn allowing them to back on the trails quickly and continue to think outside,” said Steve Eastman, president of Polaris PG&A.

Pulsar Plus comes standard with Wallbox’s proprietary energy management solutions, such as Eco-Smart and Power Boost, to give Polaris customers increased control and flexibility over their charging.

Wallbox chargers are expected to be available for Polaris customers to pre-order in late spring 2022.
