Dear Ma,
I hope you’re doing good up there in Heaven. We are in complete turmoil down here in the USA. Between the deadly COVID-19 virus and these stinking politics, our world here in America has been turned upside down and people are going absolutely nuts!
So, Ma, I don’t want to talk much about the politics that are happening in our country right now, other than to say that we need less hate and violence and more peace and love! Having said that, I’m praying that this new year of 2021 is better than the low down, stinking, crummy year of 2020.
The COVID-19 virus is still raging in record numbers and the hospitals are beyond capacity. But the vaccine is finally being distributed, so hopefully we can get this deadly virus under control. I know we all want our normal lives back!
So, Ma, on a positive note, Lena (Bigun) and I have been doing a lot of riding on my RF Custom Motorsickles and recording a lot of video’s lately for our Strokers Dallas YouTube Channel. We actually have hundreds of videos on our YouTube channel already and we are adding more videos nearly every day! The riding videos are really cool, we both have helmet mounted video cameras recording as we ride and we both have Sena helmets, (thank you Jim Matchette at Drag Specialties!), which allows us to talk back and forth while we are riding and recording the ride! They are really pretty cool videos and people are really loving them! Watching these videos is like you’re riding right there alongside me and Bigun! You should check them out and subscribe to our YouTube channel, Ma, by going to this link: Strokers Dallas – YouTube.
It is so dang cool to be able to ride side by side with my daughter! I’m so happy that she loves to ride my crazy custom bikes as much as I do! As you can tell, I’m a proud dad!
The American motorcycle business seems to be holding up pretty good, I guess, or at least from what I can tell. Although, I continue to see more and more of us Baby Boomers that are aging out of riding Harley’s and either retiring from riding altogether or a few diehards are switching to 3 wheelers, which is better than giving up completely. I get it, as we age it gets harder and harder to hold up and balance a 700-pound motorcycle, considering we have bad knees and bad backs and we continue to lose strength as we get older.
Me personally, I’m only 64 years old and I’m still going strong! I still ride RF Custom Hardtail Choppers and there is no end in sight for me (knock on my wooden head)! Sure, I have a few RF Custom Baggers, but I only ride them if I am going on a long ride, which is usually only once a year.
So Ma, I’d like to end this letter by asking you to please speak with our good Lord and ask him (or her) to please give us the good sense to just get along with one another! I mean, Ma, we are all on this planet together, so we should learn to respect each other enough to get along. Nobody is any better or worse than anybody else nor should anybody be treated any better or worse than anybody else! I think John Lennon may have said it best, “All we are saying, is give peace a chance”!
Love ya, Ma! God Bless America!
