At the recent Tucker Show in January, before introducing keynote speaker Chris Zane, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing Greg Blackwell made the surprise announcement that Jim Barker had accepted the role of vice president of marketing as of Feb. 1. Like the recent declaration that Jason Potter had been appointed vice president of sales, the news that Barker would join the Tucker Marketing Team was met with similarly enthusiastic standing ovation from those in attendance.
Barker transitions to his new position as VP of marketing after two years as director of sales operations at Tucker. Before Tucker, Barker spent a decade as an entrepreneur starting a digital marketing agency and technology firm. His track record as an entrepreneur helps him communicate and relate to dealers across the country. Barker’s experience in innovative marketing will be a huge asset to Tucker and their customers.
“Being a part of the powersports industry is like having a large family. I love the industry, our customers, brand partners and the Tucker Team. Accepting this challenge is a dream come true,” Barker said. “Our goal is to help our customers better serve their customers by providing them the marketing assets and resources needed.
