Yamaha Unveils All-New Wolverine X4 and Star Eluder at Dealer Event

Yamaha took the wraps off of a couple of new vehicles at its Top 300 Dealer Event in Asheville, NC, yesterday morning.

Yamaha treated its top 300 dealers to a special event in Asheville, NC, yesterday morning with a sneak peek at two big model introductions. The first vehicle introduced was the all-new Star Eluder. The company says it “redefines the bagger category,” combining a powerful 1854cc fuel-injected V-Twin engine, plush rider/passenger comfort, near-Sport Tourer handling, cutting-edge style, plus a full featured infotainment system.

The Eluder, based on the Star Venture platform, is loaded with advanced features including “Drive Mode” settings that adjust throttle response, traction control, heated rider and passenger seat and a fully featured infotainment system. All of this and more backed by a 5-year warranty. The modern bagger will retail for $ and is being delivered to dealers now.

The company also introduced its all-new four-passenger Wolverine X4 Side-by-Side (SxS) during the dealer presentation. The Wolverine X4 handles tight turns (with one of the smallest turning radiuses in its class), technical trails, combined with Yamaha’s well known durability and reliability. The smooth, quiet power comes from an all-new 847cc twin cylinder engine, while a compact, nimble chassis cradles a versatile stow-away full-size rear seats for expanded cargo capacity on demand.

The four seater’s features include On-Command four-wheel drive (4WD), Ultramatic continuously variable transmission (CVT) and speed-sensitive Electric Power Steering (EPS). Advanced self-leveling rear shocks provide a plush ride, as well as help maintain optimized ground clearance based on the terrain and cargo. Built for all weather situations, the Wolverine X4 is also the only four-seat SxS to feature a true full hard cab option available direct from the OEM.

“The Wolverine X4 sets a new standard in recreational off-roading, combining Yamaha’s industry-leading durability and reliability with proven off-road capability in a quiet, compact and nimble four-seat Side-by-Side chassis,” said Mike Martinez, Yamaha’s ATV & SxS group vice president. “Yamaha designs, engineers, manufactures and tests its ATV and Side-by-Side vehicles in the real world, allowing Wolverine X4 owners to confidently realize their off-road adventures with family and friends.”

In addition to comfortably seating up to four adventure-seeking adults, the Wolverine X4 features an exclusive storage system with folding and sliding rear seats, expanding the versatility of the cargo bed area capable of carrying up to 600 pounds. And it is rated for a full 2,000 pounds of towing via a two-inch receiver hitch.

Standard Wolverine X4 color options include Graphite (MSRP $15,999), Yamaha Blue with overfenders and cast aluminum wheels (MSRP $16,499), and Realtree Xtra camo with overfenders and cast aluminum wheels (MSRP $16,899). Donning overfenders, painted bodywork, color-matched interior and shock springs, and cast aluminum wheels, Special Edition (SE) models are available in Matte Silver and Matte Carbon (MSRP $17,249).
