Southern Tier Harley-Davidson announced that its 2014 Christmas For Kids ride on Sunday August 24th raised approximately $6,000 for Toys for Tots to benefit local children. Full proceeds from the ride are going to Toys for Tots, a group that provide gifts to less fortunate children during the holidays.

Southern Tier Harley-Davidson announced that its 2014 Christmas For Kids ride on Sunday August 24th raised approximately $6,000 for Toys for Tots to benefit local children.

Harley enthusiasts gathered at Southern Tier Harley-Davidson Sunday morning and left the dealership at 11 am en route to Tioga Downs in Nichols. The ride was $25 per person and included a $5 food voucher for food and $5 of free game play at Tioga Downs. Full proceeds from the ride are going to Toys for Tots, a group that provide gifts to less fortunate children during the holiday season.

"The community has long supported us and it’s our pleasure and honor to do the same for those helping so many needy children in our area. There are a lot of great people in our Harley Ownership Group (HOG) who love to ride so to be able to do something you love and help kids is truly special," commented Larry Brooks, partner at Southern Tier Harley-Davidson.

Along with the flagship store on Upper Front Street in Binghamton, Larry Brooks and Jeff Coghlan also purchased Corning Harley-Davidson in Painted Post last June. Since acquiring the Corning store, sales have increased over 45 percent.

"We have great customers and operate in great communities. We all need to be there to help each other and children have always had a special place in my heart. The Toys for Tots organization assists so many so they can enjoy some of the luxuries we all take for granted. We look forward to many more great fundraisers for great organizations here in the Southern Tier and beyond," commented Jeff Coghlan, partner in Southern Tier Harley-Davidson.
