TRIGG, a manufacturer and distributor of high-quality fiberglass trike conversion kits, will join Bushtec Cargo Trailers and Bunkhouse Camper Trailers operation in their state-of-the-art Jacksboro, Tennessee, manufacturing facility.

TRIGG, a manufacturer and distributor of high-quality fiberglass trike conversion kits, will join Bushtec Cargo Trailers and Bunkhouse Camper Trailers operation in their state-of-the-art Jacksboro, Tennessee, manufacturing facility. The most recent Bushtec portfolio addition will retain the TRIGG brand name.

TRIGG offers a selection of conversion kits, with reverse capabilities, to fit Harley-Davidson, Honda, Kawasaki and Yamaha motorcycles. The assemblies easily and safely convert two-wheeled motorcycles to trikes with the option to revert to the original stance quickly. Customizable fiberglass bodies set on maximum ground-clearance frames decrease noise and vibration.

Bushtec Products Corporation is a manufacturer of performance quality motorcycle and small car trailers, hitches to fit virtually all motorcycles featuring 360-degree swivel heim joints, parts and accessories. Bunkhouse Camper Trailers share the same quality and engineering, with 400 denier nylon tents, hand-made fiberglass bodies and innovative design.

“We welcome the opportunity to add another top line brand to the Bushtec family,” said Keith Simpson, Bushtec general manager. “TRIGG will fit right in and thrive among our product assortment. TRIGG Trikes will serve our primary clientele and complement Bushtec products. Our hitches accommodate motorcycles on two or three wheels and efficiently pull Bushtec trailers or Bunkhouse campers.”

David and LaNell Bell have produced TRIGG Trike kits in Cadiz, Kentucky, since 2003, originally intending to serve disabled and aging motorcyclists. TRIGG was officially established in 2009 as its reputation for quality craftsmanship increased demand. When it was time to exit the business, the Bells only considered Bushtec to acquire TRIGG.

“We are delighted Bushtec will take TRIGG to the next level,” said LaNell Bell. “Their quality and business integrity is a great match for TRIGG. Bushtec’s reputation for commitment to customers and dealers was important to us. David and I have always provided quality and service to our customers. We know Bushtec will do the same.”

Bushtec continues to seek acquisition opportunities. “TRIGG is a natural fit for our company,” said Gary Sipes, Bushtec vice president of sales and marketing. “We acquire family- owned companies to help see their dreams come to fruition. Bunkhouse was acquired in 2012 and we’re happy to see that product into its 30th year in 2014. We strengthen our portfolio by acquiring quality brands. Acquiring smaller, founder-driven companies offers mutual benefits for seller and buyer.”

TRIGG will transfer all operations to Bushtec’s manufacturing and distribution facility by mid-January. The 50,000 square foot facility manufactures and distributes the full line of Bushtec Cargo Trailers and Bunkhouse Camper Trailers as well as hitches, parts and accessories. TRIGG will join Bushtec and Bunkhouse at all rallies during the 2014 season.
