GS Battery Awarded Supplier Excellence Trophy by Yamaha

GS Battery (GSB) has received an Award of Excellence trophy by Yamaha Motor Manufacturing Corporation (YMMC) during their recent Annual Supplier Conference. The award was given for achieving 100 percent on-time delivery and zero defects for GSB’s product sent to YMMC’s Newnan, Georgia facility in 2011.

GS Battery (GSB) has received an Award of Excellence trophy by Yamaha Motor Manufacturing Corporation (YMMC) during their recent Annual Supplier Conference. The award was given for achieving 100 percent on-time delivery and zero defects for GSB’s product sent to YMMC’s Newnan, Georgia facility in 2011.

The Excellence Award was presented to GSB by Harry Ito, president of Yamaha Motor Manufacturing Corporation, and Tony Nihashi, vice president of purchasing and distribution.

Receiving the award for GSB was Connor Higgins, director of operations, and Christy Reynolds, GSB’s manager of operations. “GS Battery is proud to receive this Award of Excellence and greatly values our partnership with Yamaha. Receiving the Award is also due to the efforts of the Atlanta location of Kamino International Transport, GSB’s 3PL partner for the last 6-years,” said Higgins.

“We have a rich history as an OEM supplier to Yamaha globally and over 10 years of partnership here in the US,” said Jay Northey, Executive Vice-president and General Manager, GS Battery (USA) Inc. “We are excited about continuing our relationship with Yamaha and look forward to more years of working together.”
