According to a report from the National Highway Traffic Safety
Administration (NHTSA), the stalls can occur when the rider is coasting with
the clutch lever pulled, which disengages the clutch mechanism. Under
the recall dealers will replace the ECUs with new ones that have
different settings to correct the stalling problem. The safety recall was expected to begin on or before October 22, 2010.

Owners may contact Kawasaki consumer services department at 866-802-9381, or the NHTSA vehicle safety hotline at 888-327-4236, or go to www.safercar.gov.
