Hot on the heels of the Nuda 900R that went on sale worldwide in November, Husqvarna Motorcycles presented another new model for 2012 – the Concept Strada – at the Salon de la Moto show in Paris on November 29.
The Concept Strada uses the ultra-reliable 650cc engine originally developed by BMW for its F-Series range and in its latest incarnation now used to power the new G 650 GS. Husqvarna says the engine has been "breathed on" by its specialist engineers and the power upgrade has resulted in a lively machine that (at less than 375 lbs. dry) will put a smile on the face of even the weariest commuter.
BMW-powered, but Husqvarna-driven, the Concept Strada is billed as the perfect machine for taking on the urban environment. Its combination of easy handling, punchy engine and user-friendly ergonomics will make it appeal to both young and ‘young at heart’ male and female riders looking for a special everyday bike. A wide range of accessories to cater for a variety of requirements will also be available when the Concept Strada goes on sale in 2012, according to the manufacturer.
