AMA Endorses 2014 AIMExpo

The American International Motorcycle Expo (AIMExpo) has been officially endorsed by the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) following an announcement by AMA President and CEO Rob Dingman in the latest issue of American Motorcyclist. The prestigious honor indicates that the AMA recognizes AIMExpo as the premier motorcycle trade and consumer event in North America, scheduled for October 16-19 from Orlando’s Orange County Convention Center (OCCC).

In his American Motorcyclist column, Dingman acknowledges the incredible effort by AIMExpo to create an infrastructure that has the ability to accommodate the various interests of a very diverse group of motorcycle enthusiasts. He pointed out the impressive amount of legwork AIMExpo put in to making a true all-encompassing platform that welcomes motorcyclists from every corner of the sport, it became an obvious choice that AIMExpo also serve as the ideal venue for the AMA to pursue a longstanding goal of bringing its members together.

As a result, the first ever AMA National Convention will take place at AIMExpo, creating an opportunity for its 216,000 members to gather in one place, at one time and an ideal way to celebrate the AMA’s 90th anniversary.

“AIMExpo provides the perfect platform on which to build a 21st Century AMA National Convention,” said Dingman in the article. “They have put together an incredible trade and consumer show, complete with both on-street and off-road demo rides and worked through the logistics of hotels, meeting rooms and lots of other moto-centric activities that will help make the 2014 AMA National Convention something that no motorcyclist will want to miss.”

In addition to the convention, the annual AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take center stage at AIMExpo. This highly regarded event is a celebration of the rich heritage of motorcycling and the industry’s most influential figures from both on and off the track.

“AIMExpo is the crossroads where the lifestyle and business of motorcycling come together, and it is a tremendous honor to receive the official AMA endorsement for AIMExpo,” said Marketplace Events Motorcycle Group Vice President & General Manager Larry Little, who was recognized as the AMA’s Motorcyclist of the Year in January. “Part of the original vision for AIMExpo was to create a platform that could provide benefits for key organizations in motorcycling like the AMA and really make the event a true celebration of motorcycling. We view their endorsement as the opportunity to join with them and grow awareness for the economic and emotional benefits of motorcycling.”

With such a large contingent of exhibitors enlisted, and more being added daily, exhibit space allocation is ongoing as AIMExpo continues to cement its place within the powersports marketplace. Exhibitor numbers and interest continues to grow each day and companies looking to take advantage of the AIMExpo platform should contact an AIMExpo Account Manager toll free at 855-MCShows (855-627-4697).
