Zero Motorcycles recently announced the expansion of its South American sales and distribution operations with the addition of Grupo Izzo. The new Zero S, DS and XU models are now available for demo rides and additional models are expected to arrive later this year.

“Zero Motorcycles has experienced exceptional growth throughout Europe, and now we are pleased to be expanding our sales and distribution channels to Brazil to continue the enhancement of Zero’s international reach,” said John Lloyd, VP world wide sales for Zero Motorcycles. “Our partnership with Grupo Izzo will allow us to expand Zero Motorcycles’ presence in the Southern Hemisphere while giving motorcycle enthusiasts the opportunity to experience our high performance electric motorcycles throughout South America.”

Zero Motorcycles entered the European market in 2008 and subsequently experienced a rapid growth in demand. Starting immediately, Zero’s complete product line is available for purchase in Brazil and the expansion is being backed with marketing, sales and service through Grupo Izzo.

"The breadth of products that Zero Motorcycles provides gives our customers a choice of performance, speed and range expected of an urban vehicle in Brazil," said Paulo Izzo, president of Grupo Izzo. "With the environmental awareness that our country has, we are confident that we have partnered with the right brand to meet the expectations of this market."

Interested riders can now schedule demo rides on the popular Zero S and DS at all eleven of Grupo Izzo’s dealerships, and see the line of Zero Motorcycle’s products in the upcoming Salão das Duas Rodas show in Sao Paulo, Brazil from October 4 – 9, 2011.
