Big Dog Motorcycles Enters Foreclosure

As bank takes foreclosure action, Big Dog Motorcycles closes up shop.

Rumors have been swirling online regarding Big Dog Motorcycles since Cyril Huze reported on his blog that BDM had already begun the process of calling dealers to inform them that the company would be closing its doors.

BDM president Mike Simmons told the Wichita Business Journal on Monday that the business was still open despite the rumors, however, it has since been confirmed that BDM has been foreclosed upon.

Big Dog Motorcycles opened in 1994 and claims that it has built over 25,000 custom motorcycles. The company’s motorcycles are distributed through 100 dealers throughout the United States. All of the company’s designing, manufacturing and distributing is from the company’s headquarters in Wichita, Kan. Big Dog Motorcycles was previously ranked the top American V-twin motorcycle manufacturer.
