Rod Lopusnak Appointed to General Manager of Triumph Motorcycles

Triumph Motorcycles America announced the appointment of Rod Lopusnak to the role of general manager. Lopusnak previously served as Triumph Motorcycles America’s U.S. national sales director.

Triumph Motorcycles America announced the appointment of Rod Lopusnak to the role of general manager. Lopusnak previously served as Triumph Motorcycles America’s U.S. national sales director. Also joining Triumph Motorcycles America are John Howell, marketing director, and Kristin Malone, digital marketing coordinator.

Born into the motorcycle business, Lopusnak’s grandparents owned and operated a BSA and Yamaha dealership. Throughout his extensive career, he has managed multiple powersports dealerships and has held positions as VP/Director of Sales for AMA Pro Racing, VP of International Sales/Business Development with Tucker Rocky, and spent 18 years with Suzuki in a variety of sales and marketing management roles, including VP/Director, Operations Head, of motorcycles, ATVs and scooters in the U.S.

Lopusnak joined Triumph Motorcycle America in 2016 as the U.S. National Sales Director and helped oversee Triumph’s ascendency to the number one selling European motorcycle brand in the United States.

Born in “The Garden State” of New Jersey, Lopusnak lives in Georgia with his wife and three children.

John Howell was named marketing director of Triumph Motorcycles America. Howell began his powersports career in 1991 in the publishing industry working as an associate editor. For nearly 20 years,Howell worked for a variety of publishing companies including TransWorld Media, Time4 Inc., Bonnier and TEN. Howell started on the editorial side of the business but eventually worked his way up to content director and associate publisher before venturing into the ad agency side of the business in 2010.

In 2010, Howell left publishing for the client side, working for Suzuki Motor of America Inc.’s agency of record, Questus, as an account director, and, eventually, director of regional advertising. After a five- year stint with Questus, Howell joined GearShift advertising, Yamaha Motorsports USA’s agency of record. For more than three years, John worked closely with Yamaha as an account director before joining Triumph.

Kristin Malone was hired as the digital marketing coordinator of Triumph Motorcycles America. Malone is an experienced digital marketer, previously working with major organizations such as AT&T and The Home Depot. Malone will use her experience of sophisticated marketing tactics and targeting to enhance digital campaign results and support the Dealer Network with critical lead generation programs.
