Thanks to the hard work of Triumph dealers, combined with the launch of the new Bonneville family and the success of the Bonneville Reborn Tour, Triumph is the top selling European brand in North America. The results are based upon motorcycle sales in the on-highway and dual-sport categories.
April saw the sales of Triumph motorcycles rise to a market leading growth of 31 percent over last year and also puts Triumph as the top selling European brand in the on-highway category through the first four months of 2016.
“The April sales show the incredible passion and loyalty of the Triumph customer and is a direct result of extraordinary effort all the way from the design and development team to the dealer network that is working to deliver a distinctive, cool, authentic, and premium customer experience,” said Matt Sheahan, COO of Triumph Motorcycles America. “We couldn’t be more excited for the future for our customers, our dealers, and our brand.”
The new Triumph Bonneville motorcycle family consists of the Street Twin, Bonneville T120, Bonneville T120 Black, Thruxton and Thruxton R. These five bikes were developed from the ground up with three new Bonneville engines and all-new chassis and suspensions, to provide the optimal modern classic riding experience.
To help ensure continued success for Triumph dealers, the recently announced Tiger Explorer 1200 range will see an early release and be available to fill presold deposits by the end of the month. The Explorer family consists of five models to choose from, each with state-of-the-art rider focused technology. More torque, power and performance provide the ultimate transcontinental adventure motorcycle.
