The Lucas Oil Regional Off Road Series-Southern California has announced Yamaha Motor Corporation as the 2016 Checkered Flag Sponsor.

The “Yamaha Checkered Flag” will be waived as each of the series 150-200 drivers cross the finish line during the remaining 7 rounds at fan favorite tracks in both Lake Elsinore and Glen Helen.

“We’re excited to be on board as a sponsor of Lucas Oil Regional Series,” said Steve Nessl, Yamaha ATV/SxS marketing manager.  “The all-new pure sport Yamaha YXZ1000R truly is the only choice for racers and race fans looking for a high performance driving experience from their UTV, and what better place to showcase the superior driver/vehicle connection than on the race track?”

“Our team is always looking for great companies such as Yamaha to partner in our continued vision to offer affordable, fun and family friendly short course racing to the Southern California area,” explained series director, Lee Perfect. “With Yamaha’s expanded presence this year in some of our most popular UTV classes, it was a natural fit to add them to our family of sponsors as well.”

The Lucas Oil Regional Off Road Series Southern California heads into Rounds 2 & 3 at Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park this weekend on April 2 & 3.
