Michelin introduces its new off-road and motocross tire, the Michelin StarCross 5, which push the boundaries of off-road performance for riders of all levels, no matter the conditions or terrain.
Available in four versions—Hard, Medium, Soft and Sand—Michelin StarCross 5 tires contain a completely redesigned casing, a more aggressive self-cleaning tread design, a durable yet more flexible sidewall and a more pliable bead package for easier mounting.
The new casing design incorporates stronger, higher density materials that reduce weight up to 15% for the Sand tire, and an average of 10% for the other versions compared to the previous generation. This reduced unsprung mass provides superior handling and improved acceleration and braking.
Michelin StarCross 5 tires offer excellent performance over a wider range of conditions and terrain. And unlike competitor brands, the expanded offering of 21 sizes (including 2 front and 6 rear sizes for the Medium and Soft versions) ensures fitments for all off-road, motocross and vintage bikes.
