Kawasaki Sponsors VIP Reception Honoring AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame 2014 Class

The American Motorcyclist Association welcomes Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A. as the sponsor of the VIP reception honoring the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Class of 2014 on Friday, Oct. 17, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.

The American Motorcyclist Association welcomes Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A. as the sponsor of the VIP reception honoring the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Class of 2014 on Friday, Oct. 17, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. 

The VIP reception begins at 6 p.m. in the Chapin Theater and will kick off an evening of festivities culminating in the 2014 American Honda AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. 

"The annals of the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame boast many racers, tuners and others who completed their historic careers on Kawasaki motorcycles," said AMA Chief Operations Officer Jeff Massey. "We’re honored that Kawasaki has joined us in this year’s celebration to welcome the Class of 2014."

"The AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame represents some of history’s greatest motorcyclists," said Kawasaki Director of Marketing Chris Brull. "This year’s class includes some amazing individuals who have helped shape the sport in fundamental ways. It’s our pleasure to help recognize their accomplishments by supporting this event." 

The Class of 2014 includes race tuner and innovator Byron Hines; motocross pioneer Pierre Karsmakers; Tom White, acclaimed motorcycle collector, former nationally ranked racer and founder of White Brothers Cycle Specialties; George Barber, founder of the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum and the Barber Motorsports Park; national off-road racing champion Scott Summers; AMA motocross champion Mike LaRocco; and legendary tuner and team owner Rob Muzzy. 

The event also will honor the career of existing Hall of Famer William "Willie G." Davidson, a member of the Hall of Fame Class of 1999. Davidson will be recognized as an AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Legend at this year’s event. 

The American Honda AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony is part of the AMA National Convention being held in conjunction with the American International Motorcycle Expo, Oct. 16-19.
