Powersports Business Institute@AIMExpo Details Announced

For 2014, Powersports Business Iinstitute@AIMExpo will feature 32 educational sessions focused on improving all facets of the powersports retail business model in four key areas: sales and marketing, digital solutions, services and operations, and powering profits.

After achieving tremendous success with its groundbreaking program at the inaugural event last October, the American International Motorcycle Expo (AIMExpo) has announced details of the 2014 Powersports Business Institute @ AIMExpo (PSBI@AIMExpo), the event’s comprehensive dealer-focused educational program is established in partnership with EPG Media, publishers of Powersports Business, Rider and Thunder Press magazines.

For 2014, PSBI@AIMExpo will feature 32 sessions among four tracks targeting enhanced dealership profitability and operations. The curriculum focuses on improving all facets of the powersports retail business model in four key areas: Sales & Marketing, Digital Solutions, Services & Operations, and Powering Profits.

2014 PSBI@AIMExpo sessions will be held during the event’s trade days on Thursday, October 16, and Friday, October 17. Powersports Business editor Dave McMahon will close the program Friday afternoon by hosting an informative and engaging industry roundtable. The lineup of speakers and seminar leaders slated for this year, both new to AIMExpo and returning from last year’s program, will feature a who’s who of voices from inside and outside the industry. A selection of the most successful and influential individuals in the marketplace, including Paula Crosbie from ADP Lightspeed and Mike Lee from GE Capital, will share their expertise with program attendees.

“PSBI@AIMExpo allows us to provide dealers with an experience and opportunity they’ve never had before,” said Amy Collins, Powersports Business Group Publisher. “It serves as our marquee initiative in terms of outreach within the marketplace and left a lasting impression on everyone who attended one of our classes a year ago. Since then, we have worked diligently to enhance the overall curriculum for 2014 to deliver even more value to dealers and their businesses. Feedback from last year’s participants enabled us to shape the program for 2014.”

“AIMExpo is invested in improving the way the entire industry does business while also maximizing the value of every individual who attends the event, particularly dealers,” said Kerry Graeber, Marketing Director, Marketplace Events Motorcycle Group. “PSBI@AIMExpo recognizes the integral role dealers play in the ongoing resurgence of the powersports marketplace and gives them the tools to continue to be successful. We built on last year’s program by focusing on adding even more value to their experience this October.”

In addition to the dealer-oriented curriculum, PSBI@AIMExpo will also provide a full slate of presentations during the event’s consumer days on Saturday, October 18, and Sunday, October 19. From industry notables to motorcycle celebrities, the AIMExpo Presentation Stage located directly on the show floor will be a focal point throughout the weekend. Enthusiasts will be provided with a wide range of sessions aimed at celebrating their passion for motorcycling. Also, new for 2014, consumer attendees can get hands-on with multiple DIY sessions and how-to seminars at the ACF-50 Rider’s Garage, AIMExpo’s brand new interactive educational feature.

PSBI@AIMExpo track sponsorships are still available. Contact Allison Gruhn, [email protected] or 763-383-4467 for more information.
