British Customs partnered with BES Industries and the American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association in 2009 to become the title sponsor of a class of racing that would give Triumph enthusiasts a place to celebrate and carry on the racing traditions of the Triumph brand.
Participants in Thruxton Cup racing have the opportunity to compete at some of the top tracks in America, including legendary tracks like Road America, Virginia International Raceway, Miller Motorsports Park, Barber Motorsports Park and more. With minimal safety modifications necessary for entry, the Cup was designed to be an easily accessible way for enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels to enjoy their motorcycles in competition that is as friendly as it is fierce. Since its inception in 2005, the Thruxton Cup has grown to include a full grid of riders, including everyone from everyday enthusiasts to journalists and industry players.
Racing has historically been both the driving force for innovation in motorcycle performance and safety, and the crucible in which those innovations are put to the test.
