Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca and Bell Helmets are offering race fans the chance to commemorate the eni FIM Superbike World Championship, Monterey Round, with their very own limited edition Bell Star Carbon helmets.
“With World Superbike returning to the Monterey Peninsula after an 8-year absence, we knew we wanted to do something really special to celebrate,” said Gill Campbell, Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca CEO/general manager. “The Bell Star Carbon helmet allows race fans a chance to take home a piece of the event and something that will bring memories for years to come.”
The commemorative Bell Star Carbon helmet created for World Superbike showcases an original custom design by airbrush artist Chris Wood of Santa Barbara-based paint shop Airtrix, which features the iconic California state flag graphics.
“The response to our helmets for the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix was phenomenal,” said Chris Sackett, business unit director, Bell Powersports. “We are really looking forward to unveiling this dynamic new helmet to World Superbike fans.”
A successful partnership between Bell Helmets and Mazda Raceway began last season when the two powerhouses joined forces to release a Bell Star Carbon with graphics commemorating the Moto GP at Laguna Seca. The interest in the helmet series among racing fans continued to grow and led to a new series for the circuit’s 2013 motorcycle events.
A limited run of the Bell Star Carbon helmet is now available for purchase online at www.bellhelmets.com/star-carbon. Fans in attendance at the eni FIM Superbike World Championship, Monterey Round Sept. 27-29, 2013, can also purchase the helmet at the Mazda Raceway souvenir store, while supplies last.
