XY Powersports has moved into the recently vacated Pure Romance facility in Loveland, OH, near Cincinnati, to enable the ATV company to expand.
XY Powersports distributes all-terrain vehicles. It moved from Evendale to the 32,000-square-foot space in Loveland so it can now assemble the vehicles in addition to distributing them, President Steve Claybourn told the Cincinnati Business Courier. The company vacated about 13,000 square feet.
The move, which took place last month, allows XY Powersports to assemble vehicles that are supplied to it from its Chinese parent company, Zhejian Xingyang Industry Co. It then distributes the ATVs to dealers in 25 states, according to Cincinnati Business Courier.
XY Powersports added three people last month with the move, bolstering its sales force. It now employs 12, with plans to add a few more next year, Claybourn said.
But the biggest benefit of the added space is that the company can assemble the ATVs itself, ensuring quality, Claybourn told the Cincinnati Business Courier.
XY Powersports shipped about 300 ATVs last year and expects to do about 500 this year, Claybourn projects.
