After closing its doors in October of 2011, Tamarack, renowned for inventing the first ATV box, is back. When the founder, Bernie Pepin, sold the company to a new owner in late 2009, it had sustained steady and rapid growth for over 5 years. Shortly thereafter, the company found itself on the decline under the new management.
“It was a very sad situation to see the company we built to such great success, go downhill so quickly under new ownership,” explains Richard Carnegie, who resigned from the company in July of 2010 as vice president and who returned January 2012 as the new company president.
The original founder and owner, Bernie Pepin, assures dealers and consumers that they will receive the same great products and customer service that Tamarack was previously known for.
“It’s already clear that once our dealers found out that we were back, and with many of the same employees as before the company was sold, they were immediately on board and ordering because of the solid business relationships we’ve formed over the years,” says Pepin.
Although two years have passed since changing hands, after just 3 short months of hard work, it is business as usual at Tamarack. “It was like coming home,” said Carnegie.
The new Tamarack began shipping product on March 26, 2012 and is already working on potential new UTV products for late 2012 release.
