Papa’s Leather of Oklahoma announced the opening of their third retail location, Papa’s Motorcycle Apparel in Farmers Branch, TX. The opening was a culmination of new ownership, new management and the implementation of an accelerated growth plan. The new store marks the beginning of a new chapter in a history with deep roots in the motorcycle community.

Papa’s Leather, formerly Papa’s Leather Barn, was opened in 2002 in Bethany, Oklahoma. The location quickly grew and within a few years had taken over an adjacent space doubling the retail square footage. In 2008, Papa’s Leather had grown from a 2,500 square foot location to a 9,000 square foot location and added a second location. In 2017, the company was sold, the new owners, long time employees.
In 2018, under the new ownership, Papa’s Leather hired management capable of assisting in the aggressive growth strategy the company had laid out. November 2019, 13 months after management came aboard, the company opened Papa’s Motorcycle Apparel.
Papa’s Motorcycle Apparel represents the need to accept changes in the market, moving from a v-twin focused business model, Papa’s Motorcycle Apparel focus on a broader motorcycle cycle market. The new location features new apparel brands such and Highway 21 from Western Power Sports and Icon from Parts Unlimited as well as Papa’s Leather. Papa’s Leather has been the house-manufactured brand for 10 years and remains a staple for the company in quality and sales.
Papa’s Motorcycle Apparel plans on continuing the tradition of quality and excellent customer service. There are plans for continued expansion in the DFW market as well as other regions Papa’s Leather has a history of doing business with.
