Mitas Extends TERRA FORCE-MX Motocross Competition Range to Junior Sizes

The development of the junior range was based on the existing TERRA FORCE-MX motocross competition range and was supported by junior riders competing in various European and national 65cc and 85cc championships.

Mitas, part of the Trelleborg Group, extends the TERRA FORCE-MX motocross competition tire range, introduced at the beginning of 2019, to include junior sizes designed for motorcycles from 50cc to 85cc engine displacement. These additional sizes will be available from October.

Gustavo Pinto Teixeira, vice president Two Wheels and Specialty Tires, explained, “It is really exciting to extend our Mitas motocross competition range to include all-new junior motocross sizes for young riders. Our enthusiasm and commitment to off-road racing have been growing over the years and with an addition of junior sizes to the existing TERRA FORCE-MX range, we are creating a solid foundation for further development of young motocross talents. We are honored that 85cc FIM Junior World Champion 2019, Valerio Lata, achieved this remarkable title riding on Mitas tires and we are keen to help young riders on their way to higher motocross classes.”

The development of the junior range was based on the existing TERRA FORCE-MX motocross competition range and was supported by junior riders competing in various European and national 65cc and 85cc championships. It is available in three versions, each of them dedicated to different types of terrain.

Mitas TERRA FORCE-MX MH (***red and green stripe marking) is a new generation of junior motocross tires for medium to hard terrain. The shape and arrangement of knobs provide maximum traction and control. Front tire knobs deliver straight-line stability, while rear tire knobs ensure greater contact with the ground.

Mitas TERRA FORCE-MX SM (**red and yellow stripe marking) is a new generation of junior motocross tires for soft to medium terrain. The tread pattern is designed to ensure enhanced traction through the soft ground. Tapered knobs bite deeply into the soft terrain and provide improved acceleration, cornering and braking without losing traction. The tire has a superb self-cleaning ability thanks to the widely spaced knobs.

Mitas TERRA FORCE-MX SAND (*double red stripe marking) is a new generation of junior motocross tires for sandy conditions. The tread design features a semi-paddle construction with spaced knobs to ensure maximum self-cleaning. The large center rib and aggressive side knobs provide traction. Tread compound is characterized by high hardness and does not soften during the race. The TERRA FORCE-MX SAND is available only as a rear wheel fitment and can be combined with the TERRA FORCE-MX SM front.

*Double red stripe – Motocross competition tire made from the hardest tread compound for soft and sandy terrain.

**Red and yellow stripe – Motocross competition tire made from a medium hard tread compound for soft to medium terrain.

***Red and green stripe – Motocross competition tire made from a softer tread compound for medium to hard terrain.
