Mickey Thompson Performance Tires & Wheels Named Tire Sponsor of IDBL

Mickey Thompson Performance Tires & Wheels has announced it is the official tire sponsor of the International Drag Bike League (IDBL), the nation’s largest motorcycle drag racing series. The company will also offer contingency awards for winning racers in all classes.

Mickey Thompson Performance Tires & Wheels has announced it is the official tire sponsor of the International Drag Bike League (IDBL), the nation’s largest motorcycle drag racing series. The company will also offer contingency awards for winning racers in all classes.

“IDBL is the premier event in the drag bike community and we’re proud to be a part of it,” said Tom Kundrik, Motorsports Manager for Mickey Thompson. “These events are a huge opportunity for us to connect with the drag bike racing community. We’re looking forward to seeing some great races this season.”

Five events remain in the series, each taking place at Maryland International Raceway. The next event, the Inaugural Dragbike.com All-Star Shootout, takes place May 20-22. Each three-day IDBL event draws more than 700 racers and thousands of fans to the Raceway.

Following American Honda's recent announcement that it is offering the powersports industry's most generous contingency payouts for MotoAmerica's Superbike and Stock 1000 classes, the company revealed that it is supporting MotoAmerica's Mission Mini Cup, for which it is now an official supporting manufacturer. Touted by MotoAmerica as the first step in a process that could lead talented young racers to eventually reach elite levels of competition, the Mini Cup offers an opportunity for Red Riders to push themselves on challenging kart tracks, riding Honda miniMOTO models, including the Grom, CRF110F, CRF50F and more.
