The Held Race Collection is expanding in the U.S. market, with the introduction of additional leathers, gloves and boots. The 2015 lineup includes three new suits, including one for women, four gloves and one pair of boots.
Held’s 1-Piece Race-Spec Suits feature the kangaroo/cowhide Race-Evo and cowhide Fast Pace leathers, which are perforated options for men, while the women’s Ayana is a cowhide piece designed to fit the female figure. Fans can see the Race-Evo in action on the racetrack already: in the U.S., Held roadracers Marcel Irnie, Jeremy Cook, and Kristin Casey put both Held gear and Schuberth helmets to the test. Irnie and Cook wear the suit in MotoAmerica competition while Casey wears it in ASRA and CCS.
The new pieces join the Slade suit, introduced in 2014, giving riders a variety of options to fit their needs on the track or on the road. Held race-spec suits have premium features such as breathable mesh inner lining, 3D comfort foam, kevlar stretch panels, CE-approved SAS-TEC armor, and external hard armor for additional protection.
Held’s glove lineup for racers and track riders now includes the Titan Evo, Phantom II, Evo Thrux and Short Race. The Titan Evo styling and colors match the Race-Evo leathers, while the Phantom II gloves are designed to complement the Fast Pace leathers. The gloves have numerous fit and function features such as kangaroo and cowhide for durability and abrasion resistance, flat seams for comfort, elasticated leather panels for a custom fit, and kevlar and titanium protection.
The Held Donnington boots have a kangaroo/cowhide outer shell with perforated panels for breathability. A COOLMAX lining helps keep the rider’s feet comfortable, while the BOA quick-release fastener and internal zipper offer a snug fit. Other features of the Donnington include hard plastic reinforcement inside, DuPont kevlar reinforcement, hard shell protectors, and replaceable toe slider.
