The parking lot of the Hard Rock Rocksino / Northfield Park in Northeast Ohio will be the site of a Guinness World Records attempt on Sunday, August 28, 2016. Thousands of motorcyclists will gather to set a new record for most motorcycles started simultaneously, as part of a daylong fundraising event for North Coast Community Homes.
Ride for the Record, (#Ride4Record) presented by Quaker Steak & Lube, will attempt to break the current Guinness World Record of 1,446 motorcycles set in 2014 in the Philippines. The event begins at 11 a.m. and ends at 5 p.m. with the record breaking attempt at 2:30 p.m. Included in the day’s activities are live performances by The Spazmatics, stunt riders and motorcycle displays, beer and food vendors, raffles, prizes, and giveaways. More than 5,000 motorcycles are expected.
Tickets are $25 and are available through www.Ride4Record.org. Walk-ins and non-riders are welcome as are donations from those not able to attend. All proceeds benefit the mission of North Coast Community Homes (www.ncch.org) which since 1984 has developed more than 200 customized homes in over 60 Northeast Ohio cities for 1,000 men and women who have developmental disabilities, severe mental illness, and other disabilities.
