Giant Loop has been designated as the exclusive North American distributor for the new Rally Raid Products off-highway CB-X Adventure kit for the Honda CB500X. UK-based Rally Raid Products designed and manufactures the CB-X Adventure kit, a suite of components that upgrade the stock Honda CB500X to an affordable, reliable, dirt capable, globe-crossing adventure touring motorcycle.

IMG_3205_zpshpkciv1oRally Raid Products chose the Honda CB500X as an Adventure platform because of the bike’s affordability (US MSRP $6,299 for non-ABS model), reliability and low maintenance requirements, readily available parts and service on every continent. The basic Adventure kit includes replacement spoked wheel set, longer travel suspension and low front fender, with optional accessories including protective skid plate, heavy-duty footpegs and tail and side racks designed for compatibility with the Giant Loop saddlebags, panniers and soft luggage components.

The first complete Rally Raid Products CB-X Adventure Honda will be previewed at the Overland Expo West, May 15-17 near Flagstaff, Arizona. After the Overland Expo, British rally racer Jenny Morgan from Rally Raid Products will ride the CB-X Adventure Honda across the U.S. and back again on the Trans America Trail, a 5,000-mile off-road route starting in southeastern Tennessee and ending on Oregon’s Pacific Coast. Death Valley (lowest road), Pikes Peak (highest road), Moab slick rock, and a one thousand mile Iron-Butt Association challenge will be highlights of Morgan’s eastward leg of the trip.

Full technical specifications and details and U.S. MSRP are soon to be announced. Visit Rally Raid Products’ blog for CB-X Adventure development details: http://www.rally-raidproducts.co.uk/blog/category/adventure-kits/development/
