Dispatch Communications has announced the addition of Jason Abbott to its Southern California-based motorsports practice. Abbott joins the agency as an account coordinator, directly supporting the agency’s communications work for American Honda’s Motorcycle Press Dept.
“Abbott, brings an ideal mix of talents for motorcycle communications spanning nearly three decades as a racer, test rider, expert mechanic and storyteller,” said Dispatch founder Eric Doyne. “Sports and technology product communications is one of our agency specialties and his technical knowledge, from ground-up motorcycle builds to his experience as a test rider, critically pushing bikes to their limits, is perfectly suited to daily account work.”
Abbott recently concluded a 12-year term at Cycle News, producing editorial motorcycle and product reviews and race reports and developing the publication’s social media channels. In addition, he has extensive mechanical experience repairing and building a variety of on- and off- road motorcycles. Abbott also has 10 years of grassroots experience working at a variety of positions in powersports dealerships.
