Viper Powersports, Inc., announced today that it has acquired the assets of PMFR, which operates under the name Precision Metal Fab Racing.

PMFR has been operating for 36 years and is a leading manufacturer of performance racing bikes and components. PMFR, based in Shakopee, MN,  markets its products worldwide through pmfronline.com and other distributors. PMFR Inc., a new subsidiary, will serve as the aftermarket, high performance division of Viper Powersports, Inc.

“I look forward to the opportunity of continued growth for PMFR with the support and additional resources from Viper Powersports," said John Trutnau, founder and principal of PMFR. "We have built numerous custom, race and NHRA championship bikes. However, what I am really looking forward to is building an NHRA championship winning Pro Stock Motorcycle featuring the Viper-Ilmor racing engine.”

John Silseth, CEO of Viper Powersports said, “PMFR has consistently demonstrated positive operational cash flow and we can build upon this foundation and reach new heights. Viper plans to begin manufacturing of Diamondback production components, while assisting PMFR’s team to upgrade and expand the PMFR website to include our proprietary Viper-Ilmor V-Twin Engines. Viper now has the world class capabilities of manufacturing and selling complete NHRA Pro Stock Drag Race chassis, featuring a Viper-Ilmor racing engine.”
