The PowerSport Institute Named S&S Factory Training Center

The PowerSport Institute (PSI) and S&S Cycle, Inc. have partnered to create the S&S Factory Training Center - a new program that delivers expanded dealer training at PSI's 15-acre campus.

The PowerSport Institute (PSI) and S&S Cycle, Inc. have partnered to create the S&S Factory Training Center – a new program that delivers expanded dealer training at PSI’s 15-acre campus.

Beginning in January 2011, the S&S Factory Training Center allows dealer techs to enhance their technical skills with hands-on training on the S&S Variable Fuel Injection (VFI) system, which includes tuning VFI-equipped motorcycles using S&S Pro Tune II software, as well as the Sidewinder training, which covers the mechanical aspects of engines and kits. This program marks the first time S&S has partnered with another company to provide its factory-authorized training.

"Our agreement with S&S broadens our scope in supporting manufacturers in our industry with the high-quality, hands-on training top manufacturers require for their technicians," said Bernie Thompson, PSI campus director.  "With a maximum of six techs in each S&S training course, participants receive one-on-one instruction that maximizes their experience in the course.  The result is increased efficiency when it comes to rebuilding S&S engines and utilizing the S&S Pro Tune software."

At the conclusion of the course, techs who receive S&S certification will have their shops promoted as certified dealers on the S&S Cycle website.  In addition, those dealers who achieve Pro Tuning Center status will earn special discounts.

Interested S&S dealer techs can visit www.psi-now.com/ss-dealer-training-program to view the class schedule and register to attend.
