Wire Plus To Provide Support for Official Bike of Daytona Bike Week

Wire Plus Provides Wiring & Digital Speedo for 69 Chopper Softail Raffle

Each year for the last 16 years, the Daytona Beach Community Foundation holds a drawing for the Official Bike Week Motorcycle. Fifty dollars ($50) enters you into the drawing. Since there are only 4,500 tickets printed, the odds of being a winner are incredibly high.

"We like supporting companies that are making a difference in the community as well as promoting the sport of motorcycles," stated Rick Marler, President of Wire Plus. "What Dar Holdsworth is doing with his uber 69 Chopper is making a statement that in this tough economic time it is still important to give back to the community."

Every year Chris Maida, Editor of American Iron Magazine, selects the motorcycle to be raffled off. He said, "I selected the 69 Chopper based on an evaluation we did for the magazine at the 2010 Daytona Bike Week. We worked out creating  a special high-performance model with a retro S&S Shovelhead-style engine combined with the first 69 Chopper softail."

Dar Holdsworth, President of Brass Balls Bobbers, stated: "We are excited that Rick Marler, President of Wire-Plus, is coming onboard with this project as his custom wiring harnesses and digital black face speedo delivers an outstanding reliability and a high-level of coolness to the motorcycle."

Daytona Bike Week is a motorcycle event and rally held annually in Daytona Beach, Florida. Approximately 500,000 people make their way to the rally area for the 10-day event. The festivities include motorcycle racing, concerts, parties, and street festivals. The event usually is held during the first full week of March and contends with the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally as the most popular motorcycle rally in the United States.

Sponsors of the 2011 Official Bike of Daytona Bike Week Giveaway 69 Chopper Softail include S&S Cycles, Wire Plus Powersports Electronics, Biker Pros and Racing Innovations.
