On August 13, Jadeim, LLC acquired Handy Industries. Jadeim, LLC is a joint venture between Joel and Mike Jansen of Sully, Iowa, and Tom Deimerly of Marshalltown, Iowa.  Both Deimerly and the Jansens bring years of manufacturing and distribution experience to the new company.

Included in the sale of Handy were key product lines and all assets, excluding the building. Facilities have moved, with sales, paint, assembly and packaging relocated at 401 S. 2nd Ave., Marshalltown, Iowa.  The manufacturing of Handy’s products has moved to Janco Industries, owned by the Jansen’s. Both moves will provide a modern, focused production system, capable of producing products in a more streamlined manner.

As of September 15, 2010, production, painting, assembly and shipping have been resumed, and the facility move has been completed. Jadeim anticipates near completion of backlog problems by October 15.  Some employees will be added back on at both facilities. The Handy/Jadeim team knows that there are many challenges ahead, but they look forward to providing a high quality work environment and a solid product line to their clients.
