DEI has come up with the perfect kit, the Motorcycle Fairing-Bodywork Protection Kit (#902329), to protect against excess heat on any powersports vehicle. A mix of lightweight, flexible materials are included to form a reflective barrier against excess heat. Use the thicker dimpled F&T material around direct heat sources like the exhaust and the thinner Reflect-A-Cool to shield against radiant heat from the engine. It’s great for use on fairings, air boxes, seat pans, rear fenders, etc. Installation is easy; all materials included can be cut to shape using scissors and form-fitted to irregular shapes. F&T-II can withstand direct heat of up to 1750 degrees Fahrenheit (954 degrees Celsius); Reflect-A-Cool and Cool Tape can handle continuous temperatures of 400 degrees Fahrenheit (204 degrees Celsius).
