Nitto Trail Announces New Trail Grappler SXS Tire

Sharing technology and design details with the popular Nitto Trail Grappler light truck tires, the Trail Grappler SXS now brings Nitto performance and reliability to the powersports market.

Nitto Tire U.S.A. Inc. has announced its first-ever tire for side-by-side vehicles, the Nitto Trail Grappler SXS. Sharing technology and design details with the popular Nitto Trail Grappler light truck tires, the Trail Grappler SXS now brings Nitto performance and reliability to the powersports market.

The Nitto Trail Grappler SXS utilizes proprietary Nitto technologies from the Trail Grappler light truck tires. Some of these innovations include reinforced shoulder groove for greater off-road handling performance without sacrificing tread block stiffness and computer-designed tread blocks for optimized mud and dirt evacuation from the tread.

“Nitto Tire is excited to enter the booming powersports market with the Trail Grappler SXS,” said Angelo Naval, Nitto Tire U.S.A.’s senior director of product planning and business development. “We’ve drawn on our years of experience in race-winning and proven off-road tire construction to bring signature Nitto performance to an entirely new market segment.”

The Trail Grappler SXS was first teased at the 2019 SEMA Show and then put through its paces at the 2019 Can-Am UTV King of the Hammers Presented by HCR race where it took three of the top ten finishes. Team Nitto drivers proved the new tire’s performance and off-road reliability in the harshest possible conditions through both high speed desert running and technical rock crawling.

The Trail Grappler SXS is first launching in the popular 30×9.5R15 and 32×9.5R15 size in June 2019.
