The Alter Ego 4.1’s adaptability comes from Joe Rocket’s integrated MetaSport II Transitioning System. A layered system comprised of a stand-alone, C.E. armored, FreeAir mesh inner jacket that transitions into a waterproof RockTex 660 jacket. Add in the included warmth liner and you’re also covered for those extra cold rides. The Alter Ego’s waterproof outer configuration features increased airflow thanks to the addition of Joe Rocket’s Cross-Linked ventilation system comprised of two large 8″ front intakes that flow through to two large 8″ exhausts. And when combined with the inner jacket’s reconfigured mesh panels, airflow is unobstructed, plus overall weight is reduced as well.

Complimenting this versatile environmental control system is the Alter Ego’s multi-level impact and abrasion protection system. A system comprised of Hitena reinforcement panels in all key impact areas of the outer jacket and RockTexT reinforcement panels at the shoulders, forearms, and elbows of the inner jacket. All this abrasion resistance is further backed by C.E. approved armor at the shoulders and elbows plus a removable high density spine pad.

Final ride-friendly detailing includes; an 8-point SureFit adjustment system, extended microfiber lined mandarin outer collar and low profile neoprene inner collar, 6 pockets including an eyeglass and face shield storage pocket, and 360° of nighttime reflectivity on both the inner and outer jackets.
