ARGO has announced it has hired powersports industry veteran Gary Nelson as the brand’s Promotions Manager, effective immediately. The Promotions Manager role is a new dedicated position for the company and comes following the announcement that ARGO doubled its sales staff recently.

In his new role, Nelson will assume responsibility for managing all aspects of ARGO’s busy trade show calendar in addition to spearheading a coast-to-coast ‘Ride and Drive’ program designed to expose the brand’s innovative line-up of amphibious off road vehicles to new markets and new customers. Nelson will also be instrumental in planning the brand’s upcoming 50th anniversary event and dealer show where the brand’s 2018 Model Year line-up will be launched. He joins ARGO from Arctic Cat, where he served as a Promotions Manager for more than 25 years.

ARGO President Brad Darling added, “Successful and profitable businesses are built on a strong brand identity which in turn leads to sales growth. Having worked with Gary on a number of projects, I’ve seen firsthand his incredible ability to develop and execute compelling brand experiences that resonate with enthusiasts and increase leads for dealers. His innovative thinking and vision will without a doubt continue to enhance the strategic direction, growth, and profitability of ARGO and I’m confident that he’s got the right mix of skills and experience to strengthen the ARGO brand as we look to make an impact with our 50th anniversary celebrations and 2018 Model Year launch.”
