Cardo Systems, Inc. has announced the launch of a junior version of its new technology, the scala rider SMARTPACK. Following in the heels of the PACKTALK (designed for groups of up to 15 riders), the scala rider SMARTPACK offers a unique communication experience for groups of up to four (4) riders.

With its auto-adaptive DMC technology, up to four riders can communicate in a fluid virtual network and remain connected where Bluetooth would long have cut off, according to the company. Cardo’s DMC mode allows each rider to be an autonomous hub that maintains simultaneous communication with other riders in the group, even after one or more venture out of range or drop off for any reason.

This feature enables riders to drop off and re-join without causing a breakdown of communication to the others in the group, according to the company.

Jamie Cheek, Cardo’s VP of sales in North America added:

“At Cardo, it is more than just being the leader in rider communication technology, it’s a lifestyle with riding at the core. We are passionate about creating communication systems that add a unique dimension to riding. Our products are developed by riders, for riders.”

The new scala rider SMARTPACK will incorporate dual-core Bluetooth and DMC communication technologies with both working simultaneously and in a mutually complementary manner. All of the high-end features in Cardo’s existing top-of-the-line scala rider products – such as voice controlled operation and more – plus a number of expanded capabilities, such as full operability from smartphones are also incorporated in the scala rider SMARTPACK.

Users will also be intrigued by the SMARTPACK’s patent pending multi-function roller-wheel and flat-plate control panel that provide intuitive and easy operation – even when wearing winter gloves.

The company says it has already begun shipping SMARTPACK to dealers. For more information, visit cardosystems.com.
