Velocity Network’s All Girls Garage Host Cristy Lee to Appear at 2014 AIMExpo

Cristy is best known as one of the three hosts of All Girls Garage on the Discovery Channel's Velocity Network, showcasing her automotive and motorsports knowledge along with mechanical abilities through "how-to" style programming.

The American International Motorcycle Expo (AIMExpo) has announced that television personality Cristy Lee will serve as spokesperson for the second annual event scheduled for October 16-19 from Orlando’s Orange County Convention Center.

Cristy is best known as one of the three hosts of All Girls Garage on the Discovery Channel’s Velocity Network, showcasing her automotive and motorsports knowledge along with mechanical abilities through "how-to" style programming. Additionally, Cristy Lee’s talent in front of the camera led her to a blossoming broadcast career in the motorsports world. She became a fixture as the pit reporter for AMA Road Racing and has since expanded that success into serving similar roles for AMSOIL Arenacross on Fox Sports 1, TORC – The Off-Road Championship on NBCSN, and Monster Jam on SPEED. She’s also worked on assignment at the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally for Country Music Television (CMT).

Her enthusiasm for two wheels also carried onto the track, where Cristy is an avid amateur road racer. Her decade of competition experience provided an added layer of depth to her knowledge of the sport, and it’s why she’s had the opportunity to interview many of the sport’s biggest names from AMA Pro Racing, FIM World Superbike and MotoGP. As a native of Daytona Beach, Florida, home of two of motorcycling’s most renowned gatherings in Bike Week and Biktoberfest, Cristy Lee’s opportunity to be a part of AIMExpo is an anticipated homecoming for the current “Motor City” resident from Detroit.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to be a part of AIMExpo and I cannot wait to return to my home state of Florida and share in this ultimate celebration of the motorcycle industry,” said Lee. “Ever since they announced AIMExpo would call Orlando home, it’s been a destination event that I’ve looked forward to attending. I quickly learned from friends and colleagues how incredible the show was and I immediately made plans to be there in 2014. The chance to serve as a representative of the show was simply too good of an opportunity to pass up and I’m excited to see the latest the industry has to offer for 2015 and also share my experiences with attendees.”

Highlighting Cristy’s involvement at AIMExpo will be a special presentation during the first full public day of the show on Saturday, October 18, where she will share stories and answer questions from the audience before signing autographs and participating in meet and greets.

“We couldn’t be happier that Cristy will be representing us at the second annual AIMExpo,” said Kerry Graeber, Marketing Director, Marketplace Events Motorcycle Group. “Cristy’s talents as a broadcaster coupled with her obvious connection to motorcycling make her an ideal choice.  We’re fans of All Girls Garage and are looking forward to hearing behind-the-scenes stories from the show as well as her insight about her role in the powersports industry.”

Cristy Lee’s experience goes beyond the world of motorcycling, getting her start in the entertainment industry, landing her first broadcast gig as a rock radio host in Detroit, which is where her path into sports began. When not making performance modifications to a motorcycle, cutting fast laps on the racetrack, or talking to the winner of the most recent superbike race, you may find her mountain biking, dirt biking, rock climbing or snowboarding.

Episodes of All Girls Garage can be seen regularly on the Velocity Network. New episodes air on Friday’s at 8 p.m. EST/PST, with additional showings on Saturday’s and Sunday’s at 11:30 a.m. EST/PST. Check local listings on the show’s website
