American Motorcyclist Association Launches ‘Go Ride! Month’ Campaign

Throughout the month of April, the AMA will encourage members and riders nationwide to renew their passion for riding in the dirt and on the street.

The American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) has announced that April is "AMA Go Ride! Month." The campaign encourages AMA members and riders nationwide to renew their passion for riding in the dirt and on the street.

"Every spring, millions of riders roll out of the driveway or onto the track or trail to launch the new riding season," said AMA President and CEO Rob Dingman. "AMA Go Ride! Month is our time to revel in the culture of motorcycling with our family and friends, and to experience once again the renewal that is a part of every ride."

Throughout AMA Go Ride! Month, the AMA will host contests with prizes, including a Shoei helmet, Tour Master Intake jacket and Cortech tank bags, courtesy of AMA partner Helmet House. Details will be announced at the end of March.

Each week during AMA Go Ride! Month, the AMA will focus on a special motorcycling theme, including:

  • March 29 – April 5: "AMA Go Ride Your Way!" week taps into the individualism of motorcycling on favorite trails and twisties. Riders will be encouraged to submit stories and pictures of their favorite rides and the special meaning that they represent.
  • April 6 – 12: "AMA Go Ride Together!" week showcases the fun of riding with family, friends and co-workers, including AMA clubs and the online motorcycle community. Rallies and smaller local events, from AMA national conventions and gypsy tours to dual-sport and adventure-touring rides, will be featured.
  • April 13 – 19: "AMA Go Ride for a Cause!" week spotlights events and activities where generous motorcyclists celebrate their love of riding to support worthy causes and help others less fortunate.
  • April 20 – 26: "AMA Go Ride Safely!" week promotes rider training, skills development and selecting the proper riding apparel to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience on every ride.

Also during each week of AMA Go Ride! Month, "Freedom Friday" will alert motorcyclists about important issues that pose a threat to motorcycling freedoms.
