Lazer Star Lights Named Official Lighting Sponsor of 2013 Heartland Challenge Endurance Race

For the second year in a row, Lazer Star Lights will be the official lighting sponsor for the Sixth Annual 2013 Heartland Challenge in Carlisle, Iowa. Regarded as one of the most premier nighttime endurance races in North America, the Heartland Challenge is a 10-hour cross-country race, ran entirely in the dark for both ATVs and UTVs.

Regarded as one of the most premier nighttime endurance races in North America, the Heartland Challenge is a 10-hour cross-country race, ran entirely in the dark for both ATVs and UTVs. The event hosts classes for all skill levels, from Pro 4×4 Ironman, women’s and 40-plus, to a three-hour challenge for youth ATV riders.

Twenty-minute lap times around the diverse Iowa course attests to its ironman reputation. Sandy, rutted sections through the woods, wide open climbs, tricky off-cambers and nighttime conditions make conditioning and equipment vital.

Lazer Star Lights will be on-site all weekend at Heartland, showcasing its top-of-the-line LED light bars used by Can-Am’s Factory Race Teams.

"Having your lighting setup dialed before Heartland is critical," says five-time GNCC 4×4 Open champion Bryan Buckhannon. "It’s no fun playing brail on an ironman course at night. When you’re seven hours into the race navigating through the forest at night, having a proper race lighting setup makes all the difference."
