Roadsmith Trikes Founder Retires

In addition to Dick Lindholm's retirement, the company will also consolidate two factory store locations in the Daytona Beach, Fla., area. The company will close its Ormand Beach location and maintain its Beach Street store as the retail showroom and full-service facility for trike conversions and service.

Roadsmith Trikes, with factory retail stores known as The Trike Shop, announced the retirement of company founder, Dick Lindholm, this week. This news is accompanied by the consolidation of two factory store locations in the Daytona Beach, Fla., area where Lindholm currently resides.

The closure of the company’s Destination Daytona location in Ormond Beach will allow Roadsmith to consolidate staff and services in a single location. The company will maintain its store on Beach Street as the retail showroom and full-service facility for trike conversions and service.

Lindholm’s son Doug, along with business partner Jim McGurran, will continue with the primary management responsibilities of the company.

Roadsmith Trikes is based in White Bear Lake, Minn., where it manufactures and distributes a wide variety of trike conversion kits for Honda, Harley-Davidson, Victory and Indian motorcycles. It is also represented by more than 100 dealers in the U.S. and Canada.
