Fans of scrambler motorcycles will now have a dedicated event all to themselves, thanks to the inaugural HighPipe festival, which was announced by Bonnier Motorcycle Group. The three-day adventure, planned for June 9-11, 2017, will be based at China Peak Ski Resort in California’s Sierra Nevada mountains and will include opportunities for camping, wilderness riding and motorcycle demonstrations, as well as feature live music, films and bike shows.
“There’s a huge resurgence in the universal motorcycle segment,” said Corey Eastman, Consumer Engagement Director, Bonnier Motorcycle Group. “Their style and versatile design speak to the newest generation of riders and help recall fond memories for more seasoned enthusiasts. From Cafe to Scramblers, manufacturers and the aftermarket are helping make this one of the fastest-growing market segments in motorcycling today. Supporting these efforts with an event that lets consumers ride, enjoy, learn and admire is the next step.”
On the new model side in 2016, manufacturers from around the world are currently offering 24 new models with a universal or traditional slant to them. Bonnier Motorcycle Group is partnering with these manufacturers and aftermarket companies to give consumers a new kind of experience. This will include the chance to demo products and share your experiences, while enjoying traditional elements like shows, music, vendors, food and more.
“China Peak is tremendously excited to be hosting HighPipe, as attendees will enjoy this new format of a motorcycle lifestyle event in one of the top on- and off-road venues in the nation,” said Tim Cohee, Managing Partner, China Peak, who is enjoying his 54th year of motorcycling.
China Peak Ski Resort is a Northern California destination in Sierra National Forest. Microbrewery offerings and food trucks will add to the festivities, which will also include movies-under-the-stars at the base of the ski slopes.
