National Switchgear Systems (NSS), an electrical service provide, recently announced that they have stepped up to become the primary sponsor for Shea Racing 2011 Monster Energy AMA Supercross series. Officially, the team will be known as Violation1.com/Shea Racing/NationalSwitchgear.
“National Switchgear is making its sponsorship move into action sports, partnering to field a large squad of competitive athletes,” commented Doug Powell, president of National Switchgear. “This is a perfect fit for us and we are extremely excited to participate in the number one action sport in the world.”
National Switchgear’s sponsorship enables Shea Racing to further expand its program. The team will likely have six riders all competing in the Lites Class in both East and West Regions of the AMA Supercross series.
Through pit parties and charity events, Shea Racing places emphasis on involving action sports fans in the team while participating in professional motocross races. In 2010, it competed in the Monster Energy AMA Supercross series in both classes earning a respectable 15th place at the Toronto round with Teddy Parks in the premier 450cc Supercross Class.
