The MTA/Motovan Dealer Expo in Scottsdale, AZ, showed a record turnout with over 100 vendors and 400 North American dealers on hand to view the latest products in the powersports industry.
MTA/Motovan took over the Phoenician Resort in Scottsdale for four days, providing two days of training for the reps and two days for the dealers and reps together with the top vendors in the industry. Dealers and reps attained product knowledge from the extensive vendor lineup allowing one-on-one interaction and show specials for attending dealers.
There was a tremendous amount of enthusiasm from vendors, reps and dealers eager to see the 2019 lineup.
STI Tire and Wheel debuted the new HD10 wheel line available in 12 in. through 20 in. with four different finishes to choose from. The new 33x10x15 chicane tire made a big impact being the first 33 in. UTV/AT on the market, this eight ply DOT Radial compliments a very diverse line of tires and wheels. The newest STI R4 mud tire will be available on Sept. 1.
“This was a great event. The amount of enthusiastic dealers that attended was impressive, both reps and dealers were very excited about our new products and programs,” said Craig Peterson of STI Tires and Wheels.
Shoei Helmets gave select dealers an exclusive look at their 2019 product lineup in a private room allowing dealers to get a sneak peak before being released to the public.
ZOX Helmets released six new helmet and graphic combinations covering youth and adult sizes for street and off-road.
Olympia Moto Sports debuted the new Dallas, Expedition 2 and Long Beach jackets, as well as a new snow line that drew much attention at the event.
Gibson Tyre was among the new added lines debuted at the show; an MTA and Motovan exclusive tire line.
Shot Race Gear released the 2019 lineup filled with new features, construction and color ways, including a Husqvarna branded color way.
ITP released a brand new Versa Cross tire that will be available in late September.
James Paladino CEO of Motovan and MTA addressed his vendors in a closed door session as he usually does at every company event. This interactive session is an opportunity for Paladino to inform vendors of Motovan/MTA’s progress and express his thoughts regarding the state of the industry.
“Despite business challenges that are impacting all organizations, our industry is relatively healthy,” Paladino said. “MTA/Motovan is growing and we’re firing on all cylinders. I wish there were 36 hours in a day.”
Paladino also had insightful advice for vendors, dealers and distributors.
“In the last few years, powersports dealers, distributors and vendors strayed away from their core businesses. It’s time to refocus and get back to what we respectively do best. Our industry will be better,” Paladino added.
