At first glance, the all-new Kuryakyn Road Thunder Sound Bar Plus by MTX doesn’t reveal too much in terms of updated features and benefits compared to its predecessor. But appearances are often misleading.
Now packed with 300 watts of peak power, the new Road Thunder Sound Bar Plus by MTX takes portable mobile audio to the next level. Leading the list of updated features in addition to the increased power output is a newly integrated 1.0 amp USB port that offers convenient on-the-go device charging.
Hidden inside the durable weather-resistant IP66-rated housing is an entirely new-and-improved anatomy including an internal four-channel amplifier, two 2 in. x 3 in. full-range speakers with dual voice coil, and four high-frequency 1 in. silk dome tweeters with N42-grade magnets for higher power handling and distortion-free sound at any volume level. Additionally, a built-in heat sink and self-protection circuit helps combat excessive heat and voltage regulation.
The internal 3.0 Bluetooth receiver allows automatic pairing with any Bluetooth-enabled smartphone or device for convenient wireless playback. An auxiliary 3.5 mm input port connects devices via cable, while a 3.5 mm output port can be used to connect external amps as well as additional Road Thunder Sound Bars or 3 in. Speaker Pods. Patent-pending universal articulating mounting clamps offer versatile installation on almost any bars ranging from 7/8 in. to 1-1/4 in. in diameter. Includes power, ground, ignition and quick-connect harness to easily install or remove for storage when on the road.
