Fuel injection is here to stay, and with it has come the need for new diagnostic tools. A controllable fuel supply is mandatory to accurately service these bikes, and K&L boasts that the MC800 Regulated Fuel Pump for Fuel Injection is the answer. The MC800 uses 12 VDC for power, and a front panel dial gauge displays fuel pressure, while fuel connections, fuse access and power input are on the back panel. Barbed fittings make connections fast and simple. So how does the MC800 perform in real-world conditions? We turned to Craig Wardner of Grand Prix Sports in Santa Clara, Calif., for his take on this handy helper. “Every service shop could use this tool regardless of brand affiliation,” said Wardner. “I would argue that this tool is a necessity for any service department … The tool reduces the risk of damaging a customer’s fuel tank by not requiring repeated removal or partial installation for access. A tool like this has been badly needed since fuel injection became common in our industry.”
