Find It Now (FIN) GPS Security has once again assisted the Miami-Dade police with recovering a stolen motorcycle. The customer stated that he received a motion alert while he slept. Upon waking and seeing the alert, he immediately stepped out of his apartment and observed that his 2020 Yamaha MT-07 was gone. He quickly called the FIN 24-hour theft recovery hotline. A FIN theft recovery agent started to track the location of his motorcycle while the customer contacted local police.
The Yamaha owner was informed by a neighbor that he saw two men tampering with the bike, leaving the premises just moments later. He then used the “Find It Now” feature within the FIN MAN app and saw that his motorcycle was on the move but had not traveled very far. This feature provides FIN customers with valuable information, such as vehicle speed, heading, precise latitude/longitude coordinates and battery status.
The motorcycle came to a stop less than two miles from his residence. Miami-Dade authorities were provided the exact location of the Yamaha as reported by the FIN GPS security device and were dispatched to the location. They were able to locate the customer’s motorcycle and recover it without further incident. The two men were not found at the scene. The investigation remains ongoing.
